New season, new look for Ebury Street restaurant Il Convivio
Revamped for the new season, Italian restaurant Il Convivio is gleaming after its recent lick of paint. That, coupled with the addition of new chef Jonathan Lees earlier this year, means there’s never been a better time to revisit this neighbourhood favourite.
In a handsome converted Georgian house on Ebury Street, Il Convivio is perhaps the most impressive of the Etrusca restaurant group’s portfolio. The main restaurant has been smartened up with beautiful new wooden floors, the dramatic red walls are embossed with Dante’s words and new furniture and furnishings enhance the building’s original Georgian features. Elsewhere, the private dining room has been given a scrub and polish, adorned with new tableware and handsome oak dining tables and chairs. Soft draping has added warmth to the conservatory, where you can dine beneath the autumn sky.
