Meet Pierre Hermé, master of the macaron
The French pastry master will be signing copies of his new book in his Belgravia boutique
The macaron has been the hottest sweet treat of the past few years, and the undisputed master is patissier Pierre Hermé. His light-as-a-feather confections come in flavours such as orange and cream cheese, apricot and pistachio, and mandarin and pink pepper.
Now, you can try your hand at making your own. Hermé’s new book, 'Macarons', features 200 pages of recipes and stunning photography, including his 32 steps to making the perfect macaron.
If you feel you need to be sprinkled with a bit of his fairy dust before tackling these tricky treats, you’ll have your chance on Friday 4 November. From 4-6pm, Pierre Hermé will be signing copies of his new book at his boutique on Lowndes Street, surrounded by the brightly coloured mini-meringues for which he is famous.
