The Market Quarter launches season of tasting events 

The Market Quarter, a fine food deli on Elizabeth Street, has announced a season of exciting autumn food-tasting events.

Originally hailing from Borough Market, 'Le Marche du Quartier' is a family-run specialist retailer of fine foods and wines especially from France and Mediterranean countries.

Its autumn programme of events includes:

  • Thursday 8 September: meet olive-oil producer Andrea Tomasetti of Frantoio Monteverde, near Ancona, taste his wares and enjoy a glass of wine from Le Marche (£10)
  • Thursday 15 September: tasting of wines from Languedoc Roussillon, as part of the Sud de France Festival (£20)
  • Thursday 22 September: Prosecco tasting (£20)
  • Tuesday 27 September: Italian Discovery. Arnaud Compas will guide you on a journey to explore the diversity of Italian wine (£50)

October promises further opportunities to enjoy a delightful evening out while sampling the deli's produce, with boutique champagne-tasting evenings from the smaller growers, as well as a showcase of which wines to drink with chocolate.
