Young musicians bring their talent back to Hanover Square
Orpheus Sinfonia will play a homecoming concert after a successful Austrian tour
The Orpheus Sinfonia will play a homecoming concert at St George’s Church, Hanover Square, on Wednesday 19 October, performing Mozart’s 'Requiem' and Beethoven’s 'Violin Concerto in D'.
It is a return to their home venue for the young musicians, who toured Austria in September with their performances of Mozart’s 'Jupiter Symphony' and 'Horn Concerto No. 4'. According to Austrian newspaper 'Kleine Zeitung', they received “unanimous ovations”.
The Orpheus Sinfonia comprises students or recent graduates of London’s top conservatoires. Accompanying them for the Beethoven piece will be solo violinist Leonard Schreiber, who was praised for his “effortless charm and virtuosity” by 'Classical Source'.
