On Orange Square stands a statue of Mozart (he wrote his first two symphonies while living on Ebury Street), but he’s not the only prodigy here. Many famous names combine to give Pimlico Road its enviable position at the heart of design, from Joanna Wood to John Hobbs; Jane Churchill, Nicky Haslam, David Linley, Rose Uniacke, Marston & Langinger, Mark Ransom, Lloyd Loom, Lamberty and Soane are but a few.

Daylesford Organic brings a breath of fresh country air to the city (rumoured to have the best egg and soldiers in town), and the Pimlico Farmers’ Market is enjoyed by visitors every Saturday.

Galleries on Pimlico Road regularly host exhibitions representing leading talent in the artistic arena as well as bolstering the profile of some of the world’s most intriguing emerging talent.

The restaurants are exceptional too, from French Michelin-starred Rousillon, to menu-free Hunan, with its authentic flow of spicy Chinese tapas. La Poule au Pot is frequently awarded the accolade of ‘London’s most romantic restaurant’.  Recent openings include The Orange, set in the former Orange Brewery and lovingly restored to its former glory by the team behind The Thomas Cubitt and The Pantechnicon.

101 Pimlico Road, which opened earlier this year, serves British cuisine with hints of the Mediterranean by Head Chef Keith Goddard, who previously worked at the Tom Aikens Restaurant.

For those with a sweet tooth, William Curley, the only chocolatier on the road is renowned for his inventive chocolate creations and his dessert bar will satisfy any craving.
