A guide to Thanksgiving in Mayfair and Belgravia

There’s plenty of American inspiration on the streets of London, so why not embrace the tradition of Thanksgiving this year?
Satisfy that craving
Pumpkin pie is a Thanksgiving staple, and who better than Dominique Ansel to come up with a version worth celebrating this year? The ‘extra silky pumpkin pie’ (pictured) is available from the bakery’s Elizabeth Street location in Belgravia.

Feast for the eyes
Neill Strain in Belgravia’s Halkin Street can rustle up a centrepiece for a table whatever the occasion. In this instance, autumnal flowers, squashes and colours are used to decorate your home (and particularly your dining room!) with a Thanksgiving feel that will wow visitors.
Calling all appetites
Whether you’ve got a sweet or savoury tooth, huge hunger or a taste for titbits, 34 Mayfair on Grosvenor Square has just the ticket. Its menu features some Thanksgiving specials for the holiday, including New England shellfish chowder, roast turkey with cranberry stuffing and caramel pumpkin pie with maple ice cream.
Going all out
The Goring in Beeston Place, Belgravia, is offering a six-course Thanksgiving menu this year. It features cauliflower cream with native lobster, bacon and chives, crab salad with rye bread and smoked crème fraîche, and a cured organic salmon with green pepper relish, deep-fried oyster and oyster vinaigrette. Roast turkey and a caramelised pear and walnut cheesecake also make an appearance, with British cheeses to finish.
Pardon the turkey
Situated in Mayfair’s Brown Hart Gardens, The Colony Grill Room at The Beaumont hotel is this year hosting a special Thanksgiving menu alongside its regular a la carte offering. Expect treats like roast pumpkin, pecorino and quail's egg salad, roast turkey and pecan pie with vanilla ice cream.
